How Do I Wash the Bedsheet?
Your EarthToBed grounding bedsheet contains conductive silver threads that are naturally antibacterial and odor resistant. As a result, it may require less frequent washing than an ordinary bedsheet.
It is still important to remove sweat, natural skin oils and product residue regularly to help preserve the sheet’s conductivity.
Protect the Conductive Silver Threads
Gentle cleaning and the correct detergent help prevent the conductive
fibers from becoming coated, weakened or damaged.
Recommended Washing Method
Wash Gently
Hand washing is recommended. Alternatively, use a gentle machine-wash
cycle.
Use Cold Water
Always wash the bedsheet in cold water. Avoid warm or hot wash
settings.
Air Dry Only
Hang or lay the bedsheet flat to dry naturally. Do not tumble dry or
apply direct heat.
What to Do
- Hand wash the bedsheet whenever possible.
- Use a gentle machine cycle when hand washing is not practical.
- Wash using cold water only.
- Use a mild, oil-free liquid detergent.
- Air dry the bedsheet naturally.
- Keep the sheet clean from sweat, skin oils and product buildup.
- Wait at least one hour after applying lotions or body oils before touching the bedsheet.
What to Avoid
- Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
- Do not use whitening detergents or oxygen-based detergents.
- Do not use detergents containing oils, including lavender or coconut oil.
- Do not use dryer sheets.
- Do not tumble dry the bedsheet.
- Do not apply lotions or body oils immediately before bed.
- Do not iron the bedsheet.
Allow Lotions and Body Oils to Absorb
After applying lotion, moisturizer or body oil, wait at least one hour
before making contact with the bedsheet. This helps prevent oily
residue from coating the conductive silver fibers.
Preserve Your Bedsheet’s Conductivity
Bleach, fabric softeners, oils, dryer sheets and high heat may damage
or coat the silver threads. Following these care instructions will
help maintain the conductive properties and useful lifespan of your
EarthToBed grounding bedsheet.
